Reactivity

So, we all get reactive. something triggers our fears, or a hurt from the past. And we can get in our heads, our minds creating a spiral of susceptibility to the more negative aspects of what we are capable of. I would normally have a tendency to admonish myself for being negative, for lashing out or even wanting to. However,we can see things from a broader perspective. If we are having an emotional reaction (especially if it is negative) it might just be an opportunity for our freedom. We can use it as a chance to look at the WHY of our reactions. On the other side of dealing with the more difficult moments is the release from your own negative patterns. A positive experience of freeing ourselves from our own patterns of reactivity will result in the end. Seeing our own triggers as a means to an end of healing will balance out the negative feelings they bring up. The look into your own knee jerk reactions and what drives them is the transformation of your life. So I encourage you, all of us, feel. Feel even if it is messy, or ugly, but don't stop there. Take that and use it. Use it as fuel to fire you up and set yourself free.

What you do with what is happening THAT is where the alchemy of life is.
